The collection Arqueologia do povoamento americano – contribuições a partir do contexto brasileiro, organized by Lucas Bueno and Adriana Schmidt Dias, is an updated and critical synthesis of the settlement of the Americas. The result of an international cooperation between Brazilian and French archaeologists, the work articulates theoretical, methodological, and empirical approaches to rethink Brazil’s role in debates on the earliest human occupations of the continent. The chapters range from conceptual revisions and the introduction of new mobility models to case studies on the Central Plateau, the Amazon, the Brazilian coast, and the Lagoa Santa region. The work represents a thought-provoking contribution by fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and highlights in-depth chronology. This collection is an essential reading for researchers and students of the archaeology of the settlement of the Americas.
