Abstract

This essay aims to present my reflections on Digital Archaeology inserted in the Coronavirus pandemic context. It is undeniable that social distancing has brought changes to the Academia in the world and in Brazil: we had to adapt (often without adequate knowledge for this). Thus, this text contains opinions about the way that we archaeologists use internet cyberspace to reach our dialogue with the general public, as well as the impact on teaching practice today. For that, I use as an example the actions developed by the CNPq Research Group – Interactive Archaeology and Electronic Simulations (ARISE), which, during the pandemic, have been focusing on these (not so) new means of communication.
